Black Cat in the Sun is a photograph of a farm cat in Minnesota, pausing on a sunlit lawn as he surveys his world. Something about his pose reminded me of the painting of Andrew Wyeth, Christina's World. This, however, is less grand, a mere feline version.

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time. She continued her interest in art during her college years, majoring in fine art, photography and printmaking. Not long after completing her college BFA degree, Bonnie moved to San Francisco, and continued her art education by taking photography...
