Caffe Sport North Beach Signage is a photograph of the original (yet very faded) iconic sign for this restaurant founded in 1968. I frequented this restaurant in the late 1970's many times with a boyfriend who loved its food and great warming ambience.
Caffe Sport is located at 574 Green St, in San Francisco between Columbus Ave and Telegraph Hill. The restaurant serves authentic Sicilian cuisine, pasta and seafood. After the death of its original owner Tony La Tona in 2002, it was operated by a son, and now appears to be operated by a new owner, who seeks to preserve its classic cuisine and ambience.
The Obituary of the original owner provides some history:

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time. She continued her interest in art during her college years, majoring in fine art, photography and printmaking. Not long after completing her college BFA degree, Bonnie moved to San Francisco, and continued her art education by taking photography...
