Description
This is the street view of the abandoned Desert Lodge Apartments on Route 66 in Kingman, Arizona. I found these desolate buildings a really interesting photo subject for my Lodging For Ghosts photo series. Click that keyword tag below for the related photos.
The Desert Lodge was built in the 1940's, fell into disrepair, a demolition in the interest of renovation was started in Spring of 2015 according to the local newspaper, but no progress has been made since that time. I wonder if this now timeless piece of Route 66 history may remain as it is seen here forever, home to no one but ghosts passing through.
