Artist's Description
Heart of the Dragon is a somewhat abstract photograph captured at the 2017 Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco. This is a view of the belly of the dragon with its human legs, but the rhythm and memory of the music made me think of this intimate view as being the heart of the dragon.
The dancing of the dragons through the streets are always a very popular feature in the New Year's celebration. The parade also features decorative floats, marching bands and martial arts groups as well.
