Artist's Description

This is a detail photograph of a corner of the Atrium of San Francisco's Hyatt Regency Hotel. The hotel is located at Five Embarcadero Center and opened in 1973. It was designed by John Portman & Associates. As of 2012 it held the Guinness Book record as the largest hotel lobby in the world. The atrium of this hotel has appeared in several movies.

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time. She continued her interest in art during her college years, majoring in fine art, photography and printmaking. Not long after completing her college BFA degree, Bonnie moved to San Francisco, and continued her art education by taking photography...
