Orchid Blush is a textured photo painting of a beautiful orchid found in the McBryde Allerton National Tropical Botanical Gardens on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.

Note that although thumbnails of this image (because they are sharpened for web viewing I suspect) reveal a dark textured pattern over the image, a closer viewing of the image (with the full resolution viewer tool) shows no problem and the image should print well.

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. She also spends time in Arizona at her home in the high desert of Mohave County. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time.
