Bay Bridge at Night with Blue Ferry is a photo painting that originated from a poorly exposed photograph of a ferry with blue lights passing on the San Francisco Bay at night. Sometimes I cannot resist playing with a bad photo instead of just deleting. So I pulled out some color and added some filters and fiddled until I liked the result.

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time. She continued her interest in art during her college years, majoring in fine art, photography and printmaking. Not long after completing her college BFA degree, Bonnie moved to San Francisco, and continued her art education by taking photography...
