Amethyst Universe 2 is a photograph of a section of a large amethyst geode found in a shop window in San Francisco. It has been photo painted to bring out the sense of a faux galaxy or outer space quality, as if it was a view of the cosmos. But in actuality it is amethyst crystals illuminated by light and shadows.
