Forest Canopy Morning is a photograph looking up at the redwood trees, captured at Muir Woods National Monument in Marin County, California. Such a viewpoint involves problems with exposure from the high contrasts of light and dark, shade and sunlight coming through the tops of the trees. I chose to enhance the colors in this photo to get a more vivid effect.

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time. She continued her interest in art during her college years, majoring in fine art, photography and printmaking. Not long after completing her college BFA degree, Bonnie moved to San Francisco, and continued her art education by taking photography...
