Nine Phases of an Eclipse 1 is a photograph composite from solar eclipse photos taken on August 21, 2017 while viewing the partial solar eclipse in San Francisco from the waterfront's Pier 14. The photos in this sequence were taken between 9:27 am to 10:41 am.

This partial eclipse occurred in conjunction with the 2017 total eclipse of the sun that swept a path across the USA and was visible in totality from Oregon to South Carolina.

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time. She continued her interest in art during her college years, majoring in fine art, photography and printmaking. Not long after completing her college BFA degree, Bonnie moved to San Francisco, and continued her art education by taking photography...
