Social Distancing on The Bay is a photograph that was captured in Spring 2020 while the pandemic lockdown orders were in place in San Francisco, an unusual sighting of only one sailboat on a San Francisco Bay devoid of other traffic.

Born and raised in North Dakota, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. Her art education began when her parents enrolled Bonnie in the Art Instruction Schools as a child. This was a home study "Draw Me" school that advertised frequently in the magazines of the time. She continued her interest in art during her college years, majoring in fine art, photography and printmaking. Not long after completing her college BFA degree, Bonnie moved to San Francisco, and continued her art education by taking photography...

True, it's still an empty scene as there are usually many boats out in the Bay!! One single boat, soon to pass in front of the northern tip of Treasure Island is not the norm! About 10 other boats within this same scene would be normal!
