Description
The Wedding Party (Detail of a larger view in my San Francisco Gallery) is a photo painting made from an image captured at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. This couple's wedding guests had mostly dispersed, but their photographer was snapping on.
I felt this moment was an interesting example of how this exhibit, built for the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition, is still used as a favorite local San Francisco venue for weddings and/or wedding photography. Couple's seem to love the classical backdrop to remember their special wedding day. This couple was married under the dome at the Palace of Fine Arts earlier that afternoon.
